I think that this contents page works because of it's clear layout. Maybe instead of the colours at the side we could use guitars. I also like that it is a DPS because it is not so crushed together which would work for MOD with the tidyness. I think this would work better for us.
This is another DP contents page. I really do like how tidy, neat and easy to read the contents page is. I also like how it has the next issue on this one, as we are producing 2 magazines we could easilydo this.
I like this contents page because of it's stlye however it does not fit into the MOD culture. I think that the style of the page numbers being different sizing would work, just tidier.
The tidiness of the would fit in with the MOD culture. It also looks modern and tidy. I like the various text fonts at the bottom of the page. This is effective and would work well with someone on the stage or something.
I like this idea because of the tidiness. I think that the yo yo could be used but using it as the MOD logo. The clarity of the text works despite it being so very simple. It would also work effectively with out colour palette.
This magazine uses the 3 colour pallet similar to that of ours. It clearly stands out because of the bold titles. I think I like this because it is different. It looks good and is still simple. I think this style would work for MOD magazine however i do not think the fonts will work as well because MOD tends to be tidy and clean, so this will mean that the font will have to be.
As I came to make the mock up of the contents page I struggled for ideas. I came up with something like NME and I thought it was too plain and did not stand out. This will be in a following post. Without any inspiration coming from the music magazines and ones we had already looked at, I decieded I have to look into other magazines for inspiration. I like this contents page because it is simple but still inspiring and effective. Having the darker colours in the picture makes the forecolours (fonts) stand out. Therefore allowing the reader to view it easier.
